Isle of Sky Farm & Nursery focuses on native and locally adapted seeds, seedlings, edible plants and fruiting trees.
Isle of Sky Farm & Nursery is where you will find the hardy heirloom fruit and berry plants you have been unable to find elsewhere.
The nursery includes HEIRLOOOM tree fruits, vegetable transplants, berries, roses, perennials, and herbs for culinary, medicinal, and bee use. Moreover, you will be able to see them growing in the demonstration gardens.
Isle of Sky Nursery is open for the 2024 season Until November 30
We are OPEN Every Saturday — Rain or Shine 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Cash, checks and all major credit cards accepted.
With the short and cold days now upon us, we will be going on “Winter Season” hours starting December 1st.
After Saturday, November 30th, we will be “call for appointment” to pick up fertilizers, potting soil, nursery supplies and trees or plants. Please call (575-648-4015 ) or message (575-315-5691) well ahead to schedule a time good for you, when I am here. This is my “plant hunting season” so I am often far afield gathering scion wood for grafting.
I consider this Fall/early Winter season the best for planting fruit trees and berries. If you can dig a hole you can plant a fruit tree. If you CAN’T dig a hole you can plant one of my super dwarf apple trees in a big container.
We have many gorgeous fruit trees ready to go into your garden now. Also, fruit trees are a precious gift to give and to receive. Many of our apple trees we have for sale are already producing fruit.
I’m now taking orders for ‘custom grafted’ Pear, plum, pluot, apricot, peach and apple trees. I can often graft two to four varieties on one tree for those of you with small spaces or you can’t decide.
I look forward to helping you grow your dreams!

Fall is Planting Time!
Fall is the best time of year for planting fruit trees, grapes and berries. Why? Summer’s warmth is still deep in the soil at the root zone where root growth will continue for months to come, helping trees jump forward in development. There are still a few big raspberry plants and grape vines not to mention apple trees, several with ripening fruit on them.
There’s also still time for planting your winter garden.
We have a nice selection of seeds such as lettuce, swiss chard, cilantro, Italian parsley, arugula and green bunching onions.
Farm Market
Our Saturday morning Farm Market here in the garden is at its best with loads of White Oaks apples, pears and plums not to mention baked goods, skin care products tomatoes, vegetables and herbs.
