J. Julian Smith, PH.D.
A native of Sheffield, England, and a naturalized U.S. citizen, Dr. J. Julian Smith holds a Small Grains Pathology and Physiology Ph.D. from the University of Stirling, and an Agricultural Botany B.Sc. from the University of Leeds.
He is the founder and President of CZO Agronomics, a global consulting group devoted to technical advisory and end-to-end project management services in agribusiness and horticulture. CZO clients include private equity financial companies, basic manufacturing, distribution, dealer and farm gate consultations.
Dr. Smith maintains an office in Carrizozo, New Mexico.

In 2012, he was named the recipient of the Fluid Fellow Award. His many agricultural publications include agronomy, environmental issues and precision agriculture.
Much of Dr. Smith’s career has focused on
plant nutrition and specialty products,
product positioning in agricultural market-places of North America and Europe,
micro-nutrient,
biostimulant, biological and plant growth regulator product application,
market development on foliar nutrition, and,
integrated crop management.
His consulting has taken him to Brazil, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, and throughout the United States.
